About James Harkin
James Harkin is the head researcher and script editor for the BBC TV show 'QI' as well as one-quarter of the hit podcast ‘No Such Thing as a Fish’ which has had more than half a billion downloads in its 10-year history. With the podcast, he has read Tolstoy on stage at the Sydney Opera House and sung Baby Shark in front of a sell-out Hammersmith Apollo. He has a degree in Maths and Physics from the University of Sheffield, and before moving to television was an accountant for a group of pubs. He has written 14 books, including his latest ‘Everything to Play For: the QI Book of Sport’, and he loves golf, quizzing, escape rooms and visiting bizarre and rude-sounding places around the worl
About Helen Frost
Helen Frost has a PhD in Molecular Microbiology, and more than 15 years of experience communicating complex scientific content to non-specialist audiences. She has engaged public audiences with immersive learning experiences, and has also been successful in the corporate world of science communication, working in some of Denmark’s largest R&D organisations. Since becoming a parent, Helen has discovered the true test of a science communicator’s mettle - satisfying the endless curiosity of a smart kid - and has come to appreciate the unexpected comedy in the family conversations they have, when talking of science.
About the Dr C
Dr C is a typical 6 year old. She loves swimming, asking to have ice cream for breakfast and torturing her younger brother. As the offspring of two PhDs, she has been immersed in discussions about science her whole life - although her parents are aspiring for her to be a rebel and become an engineer in future.
