If you’re already making your list for this year’s top reads, we have another title to add to your shelves!

Author, Polly Phillips will join us for an evening to discuss her new psychological thriller ‘The Revenge’ - a provocative and compelling page-turner. Polly will also speak about her journey to becoming a writer, how Denmark helped her find herself and her writing voice - and where the ideas for her - very succesful - novels come from.

About the Book

Emily Toller has tried to forget her time at university and the events that led to her suddenly leaving under a cloud. She has done everything she can to forget the shame and the trauma – and the people involved. She has tried to focus on the life she has built with her children and husband, Nick.

But events like that can’t just be forgotten. Not without someone answering for what they’ve done.

When an invitation arrives to a University reunion, everything clicks into place. Emily has a plan.

Because if you can’t forget – why not get revenge?

A fresh, original and strikingly relatable psychological thriller, perfect for fans of ANATOMY OF A SCANDAL.

About the Author

After graduating from Cambridge, Polly Phillips worked as a journalist in London, writing about everything from soap operas to thunderstorms, with a little bit of celebrity stalking in between. When her husband was transferred to Perth, Australia, she thought it was the perfect time to write the novel she’d been dreaming of, but it wasn’t until moving to Copenhagen 2 years later that she actually started writing it. Polly now lives back in Perth with her husband, 9 year old daughter and basset hound, Bouff, all of whom have appeared in her novels, one way or the other.

Her first book, My Best Friend’s Murder, won the Montegrappa Fiction prize in Dubai and her second, The Reunion, was published by Simon & Schuster in 2022. Polly is currently working on her third novel.
