We are thrilled to welcome back Pernille Hughes, author of Probably The Best Kiss in the World and Punch-Drunk Love and most recently, Ten Years.
Pernille will be joining us for a talk about her new novel, share stories about her path to publication with a major publisher, read from her new novel, and answer questions from the audience.
About the Author
Pernille was born in the UK to Danish parents. She studied Film & Literature and took her first job in advertising, having been lured by the temptation of freebies, but left when Status Quo tickets was as good as it got. After a brief spell marketing Natural History films, she switched to working in Children’s television which for a time meant living in actual Teletubbyland, sharing a photocopier with Laa-Laa.
Now, she lives in actual England, sharing a photocopier with her husband and their four children. While the kids are at school she scoffs cake and writes romantic comedies in order to maintain a shred of sanity. Her debut novel was Sweatpants at Tiffanie’s, and her writing has also been published in The Sunday Times and the fabulous Sunlounger summer anthologies.
