It was the discovery of the novel ’Save me the Waltz’, by American author Zelda Fitzgerald, that propelled Frederikke Lett into what would become a feminist project as well as a journey into the world of translation and publication.

‘Save me the Waltz’ had never before been published in Danish and after reading the novel and diving deeper into the life of Zelda Fitzgerald, Frederikke felt strongly that the world needed to see not just the wife of the renowned writer F. Scott Fitzgerald but also a woman who was an accomplished author in her own right.

The Danish translation was printed in 500 copies, every book was numbered with a handwritten original quote from Zelda - and it sold out in 3 weeks flat!
