Saudi Arabia is an elusive land for many of us; one we don’t know well or understand. It is, therefore, a great pleasure to be able to host an evening with a woman who lives in Saudi Arabia and would like to share her experiences.

Please join us for an evening with Hedvig Berry Wibskov who moved with her family to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last year when her husband joined the Danish Embassy as the Deputy Ambassador there.

One of the first women in Saudi Arabia to be granted a Driver’s license after the historic ‘summer when women were given the right to drive.’ A witness to the extraordinary changes happening there, Hedvig has witnessed these changes in just a short time. Women’s fashion and advertising have also been indicators of the larger changes within this fascinating culture.

Hedvig is excited to talk about her life in the Middle East and the positive surprises that greet her everyday. She’ll tell us about the expectations for what she wears, to getting used to prayer 5 times per day and what it’s been like to make friends with Saudis.
