About the poet
Mel Chanté, Melysa Chanté Latham, is a poet, performer, host and creator of @vowtoself, a community platform for affirmations and self-talk. Born in Boston and living in Brooklyn, New York, Brown Butter is Mel’s debut poetry book.
Inspired by her father’s poetic ways and mother’s encouraging spirit, Mel seeks to use her voice and experiences to heal, connect with and inspire others.
