Join us on November 14th at 7pm to hear Trine Hahnemann and Columbus Leth speak about the making of 'Copenhagen Food: Stories, traditions and recipes'.
Columbus Leth, born in 1971 and based in Copenhagen, has been a professional photographer since 1997 specialising in food and outdoor-photography. Trine Hahnemann chef and food writer, has written ten cookbooks in her native Danish and six in English. Trine's latest project Hahnemann's Køkken has just opened up in Copenhagen.
About the book:
Over the past few years, gastronomes have started to realise what an exciting, dynamic and cosmopolitan city Copenhagen is, with a jewel to discover around nearly every corner. Join the doyenne of Scandinavian cooking, Trine Hahnemann, as she crafts this love-letter to the city she has called home for more than 40 years.
In Copenhagen Food, Trine invites you to discover the food culture of her home town, which is woven into the fabric of her daily life. Exploring the many districts, each with their own unique secrets and characters, Trine introduces you to all the best spots to eat, drink and enjoy time with friends.
Along the way, Trine offers 70 recipes for some of her very favourite dishes so you can bring the art of Copenhagen cuisine home to you. Re-create the chicken liver pâté with aquavit that Trine made for the late Prince Consort Henrik, or the mazarin cakes she would buy from the corner shop as a child.
