EVENT COST: 50 DKK. RSVP TO JOIN US FOR THIS EVENT!

Do you ever wonder about the causes and impacts of Climate Change?  What exactly is the connection between weather and climate? How far has Climate Change progressed? Are we able to turn back the clock?  Does the Paris Agreement do enough? Should Denmark be doing more? Can Donald Trump push the whole world backwards?  Where are the good news stories?  What can I do to make a difference that matters?

On the evening of 17 May, join your local Climate Reality Leader, Heather Thomas, for an evening of learning, readings and conversation that will help you make sense of climate change.  Heather recently trained with Al Gore and his Climate Reality Project. The Climate Reality Project is an international group of trained climate change communicators who are here to empower you, and help you to speak truth to power.

About Heather Thomas

Heather grew up in one of those small towns where you pass the farms where your food came from on the way to school in the morning. She always understood that she was a part of nature, her lesson (after moving to Boston for university) was that not everyone saw the world that way. She earned a degree in history and set out to work in the museum world.

For more than a decade she worked in development and communications for Tate and the Royal Academy of Arts, in London. The impact of British austerity lead her to take what she learned about the creative process to more directly support people in need and she became the Director of Communications, Development and Research for YouthNet; a silicon roundabout social enterprise that transformed youth services for the digital age.

But her itch for her environmental passion to become her livelihood became overwhelming. In 2014, Heather decided to continue her studies and earned her MBA from Copenhagen Business School.  With business credentials in hand, she founded The Mindful Kitchen, a social enterprise that uses food to connect people to nature and teaches folks how they have the power to mitigate the impact of climate change.  She is also a consultant at The Eden Project and Sustain, the alliance for better food and farming in the UK.  In March 2017, she trained with Al Gore and his Climate Reality Project in Denver, Colorado and is now a certified Climate Reality Leader.  She splits her time between Copenhagen and London.
